Writer, Director & Editor
Carleton is a Belfast born director, editor and co-founder of Apex Pictures. His 2021 short 'Transmission' world premiered at the OSCAR® and BAFTA qualifying L.A Shorts Film Festival. His editing credits include the hybrid theatre film 'Distortion' (2021), ‘Frankie’ (2021) and ‘Gravy Chip’ (2021).
Michael Costello is a Belfast born filmmaker and co-founder of the production company Apex Pictures. He is best known for writing, directing and producing the multi-award-winning short films ‘Inside’ and ‘The Cancer Monster’.
Rachel Coffey is a Belfast based director and producer. She graduated from Queen’s University with a BA in Drama and an MA in film. Recently she directed the award-winning short film ‘The Painted Lady’ before moving on to serve as an assistant director on an upcoming Apple TV drama series.
Director of Photography
Hailing from Ballycastle on the North Antrim Coast, Quinn has a passion for cinematography and bringing stories to life through film. His body of work ranges from award-winning short films to the RTS winning Unquiet Graves and the Ed Sheeran/DML music video ‘Peru’.
Natasha is a multi-nominated production designer with extensive credits in film and commercial works. Her credits include The Cancer Monster, Skinny, An Irish Goodbye and Transmission.
Marie is an up and coming costume designer who has gained numerous credits in commercial work before branching into film. Her first film credit was the Apex Pictures produced short film Frankie.
Makeup Department Head
Stacey has a long history of makeup in film and an extensive filmography. Known for her craft, her list of credits include features Black Medicine and Artemis Fowl.
Tamas began his film career as a crowd AD on Netflix's School of Good and Evil. I'll Be Frank marks
the beginning of his work as a First AD.
Michael is a DoP, camera operator and 1st AC. Known for his extensive knowledge in his fields, his list of credits include Line of Duty, Turf and Bleeding Out.
Michael is a 2nd AC and up and coming DoP with experience in both film and commercial work. He's traveled far and wide gaining experience on set across the UK, Ireland and the USA.
Andrew is a sound recordist and sound mixer in film and TV. His list of credits include Secret Life of Boys, Mushrooms and Soft Border Patrol.
Aaron O'Neill is a sound recordist and founder of the production sound company O'Reel Productions. He known for the short films Frankie, Day in the Sun and Pistolera.
Oscar is a boom operator operating in both film and TV. His list of credits include Dungeons and Dragons, Line of Duty and the short film United.
Zara is a script supervisor known for her work in shorts and television. Her list of credits include Dungeons and Dragons, Gravy Chip and The Visitor.
Assistant Script Supervisor
Josh is a writer and director known for his Northern Ireland Screen funded short films Lost in Transit and Frankie. I'll Be Frank marks his first outing in the script and continuity department.
Dwayne is a gaffer and DoP who is particularly known for his work in short films. His list of credits include Kettle, Rian, United and Transmission.
Alan is a best boy and grip who has just branched out into film and TV work. His list of credits include Distortion, Frankie and Silverpoint.
Riley is a grip with extensive experience in both film and TV. His list of credits include Line of Duty, Dublin Murders, Krypton, Lost City of Z and Game of Thrones.
Gareth is a videographer and editor based in Northern Ireland. He is known for his work in the commercial and video sector.
Jamie is a stills photographer and emerging DoP who is currently in university. I'll Be Frank marks his second time out with Apex Pictures having previously worked on Frankie (2021).
